Gender Reveal Party

We had a lot of excitement here last weekend. Since I really only get to throw this kid one party until over a year from now I really wanted to do a gender reveal party. Some people think they are cheesy but, WHY NOT. I love having little parties and what better excuse to get a delicious cannolli filled cake?

Brett and I already had our feelings it was going to go a certain way this week but we still had some doubt.

We went for our anatomy scan this week (19 weeks) and Baby did not want to show us what it was! But they got it eventually!

Brett had been team boy the whole time had a change of heart this week.

Even Auntie and Uncle seemed split on the outcome.

I had a lot of fun making this chalkboard sign. Yay, Pintrest project that didn’t fail!

And big props to Brett who did most of the writing because once I planned it all out…i just…couldn’t …..(write anything well enough).

We kept the party simple. I made turkey white bean pumpkin chili. Had some veggies, cheese and crackers. And my friend made her yummy pull apart bread that showed up at my Christmas party last year.

It was a very exciting night!

But on to the main event-

It’s a girl!!

I’m already bookmarking cute headbands and ruffle rompers on etsy!

And don’t worry, Portia will never allow herself to be overlooked-

Now that that is out of the way. We are busy here getting nursery ready and I’m currently making some delicious soup that will be posted up later this week!
